It was a rainy morning for a change, and luckily we had no early appointment. Our next meeting was at 2:30pm with Bhagvati at the Parmarth Niketan where no programme was running at the moment due to the upcoming yoga festival. Still, we could visit the facilities and see some of the 150 boys who study there, performing asanas near the ghats of the Ganges.

Paramarth Niketan is a huge ashram, maybe the biggest in Rishikesh – it can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. It was a great honour for us to meet Puja Swami, the spiritual leader of Parmarth Niketan, for a photo shoot. Luckily the sun come out again and, after the rain, the light was just gorgeous.

We finished our day with the Aarti Puja performed by Puja Swami – a very beautiful evening on the banks of the holiest of all rivers.
