30th Anniversary of the International Yoga Festival

Every year Yogi’s from around the world flock to the Yoga capital of the world Rishikesh to celebrate one of the most popular and loved Yoga festivals in the world – The International Yoga Festival. This year is definitely a special year as it is the 30th Anniversary edition of this festival. Organized by Parmarth Niketan Ashram in association with the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, the festival will be held between 1st – 7th March 2019. (more…)

Ardh Kumbh Mela 2019

The year 2019 begins on an auspicious note with the Ardh Kumbh Mela set to take place between the 15th January – 4th March at Prayagraj (Allahabad). Directly translated, ‘Kumbh’ means ‘pitcher’, and Mela means ‘gathering’ is an event where devotees from all walks of life gather to take a dip at the ‘Triveni Sangam’, a sacred confluence of the 3 holy rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. This festival is attended by pilgrims, spiritual seekers, saints and yogis from everywhere and is known as the largest peaceful spiritual gathering in the world. The last Kumbh Mela which was held in Nasik in 2013 saw about 120 million people attend the festival and this year organisers are well prepared to accommodate a high number of attendees. In 2017, UNESCO inscribed the Kumbh Mela on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (more…)

International Yoga Festival 2018

It is that time of the year when the Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh gets ready to host an event that celebrates Yoga in its truest sense. The International Yoga Festival 2018, organised by Parmarth Niketan Ashram in association with the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board & GMVN, will be held from 1-7th March at the Parmarth Rishikesh Ashram, Rishikesh. Photo Essay: International Yoga Festival 2017

People of different nationalities, religions and race participated in the International Yoga Festival 2017 to testify that Yoga is the uniting force of the entire world. This was the 29th edition of the Annual event which was held in Rishikesh during the first week of March. Here is a glimpse of the event which was organised with much aplomb by the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh.

Maharashtra Yoga Utsav 2017

Maharashtra Yoga Utsav 2017 will be held on 24th, 25th and 26th March.

The innumerable benefits of Yoga have been proven time and again by science. Today, Yoga is a force to reckon with and has gained immense popularity internationally and also in its birthplace, India. To spread the message of Yoga to the masses, the Kaivalyadhama Ashram is organising the Maharashtra Yoga Utsav 2017. The three day event will be held between the 24th -26th of March, in Mumbai and is supported by Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.  (more…)

The Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh is all set to host the International Yoga festival from the 1st – 7th March, 2017. The festival is organised by Parmarth Niketan ashram along with The Ministry of Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), GMVN, and The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board. Held annually, this year marks the 18th edition of the world renowned event.
